Design Tenets
Our design ideologies are inspired by the conscious
ethos of slow living. We believe in Minimalism that
lasts, minimizing our environment impact. We
created something that would not only make a
statement but would also stay with you: for a long
time. Which is why every garment is not only
flawlessly designed, but also they have the
strongest origins. We work closely with women and
rural artisans, their handwoven stitches & time
honored techniques ensure a sturdy quality and
maximum longevity. Our sky-high standards are
met through responsible manufacturing and ethical
sourcing of materials. Oh, and we pair it with
stunning designs! Think of it as a bridge: between
your modern styling needs and the traditional
methods of weaving, embroidery, and dyeing.
Founded by Smriti, Dharaa was born

could avoid, It was something we
embraced with open arms long
before it became trendy. We are on
a mission to make fashion powerful
but slow: adopting 100%
sustainability in everything we do.
Smriti’s love for fashion was a result of legacy. Her love for sarees, passed down through generations
drew her closer to India’s cultural heritage. The strength of traditional weaving methods, the beauty of
handcrafted garments & the magic in the hands of Indian artisans! She slowly realized that Dharaa
could never be just another brand making clothes, we had to be a movement advocating for what we
believe in.
At Dharaa, we strongly believe in mindful consumption. Fashion is power, and for us, it’s a journey
through time. We have found the soul of this label in techniques like handloom weaving, block printing
